Why did the chicken cross the road(?) asked a DJ on the radio. May be it just wanted to get to the other side, replied another.
Why did Anwar cut the Q in Permatang Pauh? Don't ask me why but Sinar Harian reported Anwar did cut the queue!
May be Anwar, a busy PM wannabe just wanted to catch an earlier flight back to KL.
Why did Anwar say IGP Acryl Sani told him to get ready to form a government? I don't know why!
The IGP himself rubbished claims he contacted Anwar the night before asking him to prepare to form new government. It's “completely untrue” Acryl said. (FMT)
Why would the most likely person to be a PM informed a crowd only to be discredited the morning after the night before? More so coming from the top lawman in the country it's hard not to believe. It's the weirdest news I read all day.
So whom should we believe?
Do we believe in the DJ who knew the behaviour of chickens more than anyone else on the airwaves or Sinar Harian whose reporters are governed by a code of ethics for journalists or someone like Anwar Ibrahim who is known to have sworn on the Quran when questioned about his secret life or the IGP the top lawman in the country?
Anyway, I have no answers. But I like what the IGP told reporters. “I don’t intend to take any action in light of his (Anwar's) remarks. Maybe in his excitement, he (Anwar) misspoke during his campaign speech,” he said. (FMT)
The video about both gentlemen has gone viral on this election day.
To recap, Anwar said on the video in question, “Yesterday, I was in Kangar, Kuantan, Shah Alam, Bandar Tun Razak, Titiwangsa … and I heard that PH has secured 112 (parliamentary seats),” Anwar was reported as saying one day before the election! (FMT)
The following sentence Anwar uttered on the same video kept everyone wondering. “The inspector-general of police then contacted me to get ready. God willing, I will be sworn in as the new prime minister.” Anwar said. (FMT)
Why would the IGP be calling a politician to form a government?
On whose instructions was he calling Anwar?
Where did Anwar get the idea that PH has already secured 112 seats while elections was yet to be held?
But most of all why did Anwar say what he said?
Like the chicken Anwar said what he wanted to get across.
IGP is not crossed. So let's not be crossed. It's just a "misspoke"!
