CHIEF Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said he duly informed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim about the new State Cabinet and that it is good for Sabah, thus disproving accusations that he went against the wish of the Prime Minister on the matter.
“Of course, I informed him. To me, this is a must. Not only that we informed the supreme leader, which is the Prime Minister, but what we did is also for the good of Sabah,” he said, after University College Sabah Foundation’s (UCSF) 2nd Convocation at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), Kota Kinabalu, on Jan 14.
Hajiji, who is also Chancellor of UCSF, said he not only meets but also has telephone conversations with Anwar. “So it is normal as our supreme leader in the country, we sometimes meet and bring up various issues concerning the people and Sabah,” he said.
He urged all parties to give him space to lead the State Government in an effort to realise the state development agenda for the sake of the state’s progress and wellbeing of the people. He said it included the 2021-2025 Sabah Maju Jaya Development Plan.
“The State Government’s priority now is the progress and welfare of the people of Sabah,” he said.
