KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has ordered an accelerated recovery plan for flood and landslide-hit areas in Sabah, saying the scale of destruction could not be handled through routine procedures.
During a half-day visit with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor in Friday, Anwar inspected affected sites in Penampang, PPS centres and the IPGM Gaya Campus, pledging swift restoration of housing, schools and basic facilities.
He said RM10 million had been channelled through Nadma, with further funds to follow, and urged state-federal agencies to expedite all processes.
