KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, today congratulated Prof Emerita Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin on being conferred the Outstanding Woman Award for Social Development.

Anwar said the award, presented by Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana of Thailand, not only brought honour to Malaysia but also reflected the calibre, capability and significant contributions of Malaysian women, who continue to gain recognition on the international stage.

“May this recognition inspire more women to contribute through knowledge, leadership and compassion in building society and advancing the Malaysia MADANI agenda,” he said in a post on X.
