
KUANTAN - A Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel who was reported to have been bitten by a king cobra while conducting a demonstration at a programme in Temerloh yesterday died early this morning.
Pahang APM director Colonel (PA) Che Adam A Rahman said Sergeant (PA) Muhamad Muazam Shah Kamardin, 39, died at about 1.50am.
"Muhamad Muazam Shah died while receiving treatment at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital, Temerloh," he said when contacted today.
Che Adam said Muhamad Muazam Shah’s remains were scheduled to be laid to rest at the Kampung Bukit Kelulut Cemetery, Temerloh, this morning.
The victim was reported to have been bitten on a finger of his right hand at about 10.50am yesterday and had gone outside the hall to wash the wound.
He subsequently fainted outside the hall and was rushed to hospital for further treatment. - BERNAMA
