IN pro sports, where one tiny clubface tweak can make or break a career, Abby Arevalo shows tech skills mean nothing without mental toughness.

As the nation celebrates Women’s Month, Arevalo shines as a beacon for Filipina athletes, leading a landmark 2026 campaign as the Philippines’ sole rep on the Ladies European Tour.

The Ladies European Tour’s expansion into Asia offers Arevalo a prime platform to showcase her skills, given her strong mental game and determination. It’s a great opportunity for her to shine internationally.

Arevalo’s path to the global stage is rooted in her strong collegiate and national team experience, which prepared her for the solo journey of international pro golf.

At San Jose State, she was a key player, grabbing three individual tournament wins and All-American honors.

Her college grit paid off internationally, helping the Philippines grab the 2019 SEA Games team gold medal.

She kept the momentum going, winning the 2020 Philippine Ladies Open by a whopping 9 strokes. This followed her 2017 LPGT Event win at Riviera, where she stunned everyone as an 18-year-old amateur with a final-hole birdie.

Arevalo’s 2026 season is shaping up to be an exciting one, with a packed schedule of challenging courses. She’s kicking off May with the Amundi German Masters at Green Eagle Golf Courses from May 14 to 17, and then heading to Morocco for the historic Lalla Meryem Cup at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam from May 21 to 23.

She’ll wrap up her three-country swing in France at the Evian Resort for the Jabra Ladies Open from May 28 to 30. And despite a packed international schedule, she’s coming back home for the Philippine Golf Tour, keeping her roots strong and inspiring local golf fans.

Arevalo’s taking golf fan engagement to the next level by sharing her daily life on tour, giving fans a glimpse into the realities of a pro golfer’s life.

Fans can already catch her journey on Instagram @abegailgolf, but things are about to get more real — she’s launching her YouTube channel this June, giving an unfiltered look at what it takes to be an elite golfer.

This Women’s Month, Arevalo’s journey shows being the only one in the field is a strength, paving the way for Filipina athletes chasing global dreams.
