Argentina's international scouting director Juan Martin Tassi has provided an update on Alejandro Garnacho.
The youngster is absent from this round of international games with an ankle injury.
The 18-year-old has not made his senior debut for the nation, which means he can still choose to play for Spain.
However, Tassi does not have any concerns in this regard.
Tassi, speaking to Ole, said: "We have a fluid dialogue with Garnacho and his family. It's not something of a moment, but something that developed over time. He is very happy to be taken into account by the Argentine National Team.
"The case of Garnacho is the product of the work we have been doing, the closeness that we propose on a day-to-day basis made him lean towards Argentina. All this accompaniment is essential and they feel it."
