Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has shrugged off complaints from Barcelona counterpart Xavi after this week's preseason clash.
Arsenal defeated Barca 5-3 in the US, with Xavi later complaining about Arsenal's physical approach.
But Arteta has since responded, stating: "Football belongs to the players and they are always very competitive.
"We played in front of 70,000 people and obviously we wanted to win. We can have our ideas, but when the ball started roll and they scored a goal, we rebelled and there was a change of intensity.
"These things happen."
