Arsenal have no plans of losing Nuno Tavares at the end of this season.

The Portugal U21 left-back has been superb on-loan with Olympique Marseille, where he has become a first-choice for coach Igor Tudor.

OM president Pablo Longoria would love to already buy Tavares given his impact. But with no permanent option in the deal there is a resignation that Tavares' future remains with the Gunners.

Arsenal refused to consider a buying option during talks with Longoria and their insistence that Tavares is not for sale remains.

Longoria suffered similar frustration last season involving William Saliba.
