Arsenal are ready to kickoff new contract talks with captain Martin Odegaard.
The Norway skipper is in his second full season with the Gunners and the London Evening Standard says management are eager to upgrade his deal to reflect his new status.
Odegaard joined Arsenal in January 2021 on-loan from Real Madrid before signing permanently that summer.
He has scored 15 goals, contributed seven assists and was named Premier League Player of the Year at the London Football Awards in March.
The midfielder has two years to run on his current deal and there is an option for another 12 months.
