Norway coach Stale Solbakken admits consulting senior players before signing his new contract.
Solbakken penned terms with the FA to 2025 this morning and he admits he spoke with Arsenal and Norway captain Martin Odegaard, along with Manchester City's Erling Haalad before signing.
He told TV2: "If they had said 'Damn, you can ruin it', I wouldn't be sitting here now. I'm not naive.
"They are important for Norwegian and international football. They are strong voices in football now.
"Erling will probably come away with a title or three. Martin with a great season and both with great success."
