Arsenal have left Marquinhos out of their Champions League squad.
The Brazilian was recalled from his loan with Nantes last month.
However, he is likely to be on the move again and return home to Brazil in the coming weeks.
Fluminense are in talks with Arsenal about a deal for Marquinhos before the Brazilian market shuts on March 7.
Marquinhos spent last season on-loan at Norwich City in the Championship.
