Arsenal are said to be in talks with Brazilian side Corinthians over a loan move for Marquinhos.
The forward has been recalled from a spell at FC Nantes, as Arsenal feel he was not getting enough game time.
Marquinhos may now be sent back to Brazil, as the 20-year-old continues to develop.
Per Globo Esporte, the two parties are engaged in talks that have progressed very well.
There may even be a purchase option included within the agreement to send Marquinhos to Corinthians.
Such a deal would suggest that Arsenal are giving up on the forward becoming a first teamer.
