Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is rated favourite for the France U21 job.
Henry is in line to succeed long-serving coach Sylvain Ripoll.
Ripoll was sacked after six years last month after France were bundled out of the U21 Euros at the quarterfinal stage.
RMC Sport is reporting Henry is now favourite to take charge.
And his first target will be qualification for the 2024 Olympic Games.
