Arsenal have failed with a bid for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
Cadena SER's Bruno Alemany reports Arsenal made a 60m offer for the Spain international.
The proposal matched the buyout clause in the player's contract.
However, Zubimendi has resisted the attempt.
Zubimendi penned a new deal earlier this season after being blocked from joining Barcelona last summer. The youngster remains on Barca's radar.
