- England defender Ezri Konsa has completed a £51m transfer from Aston Villa to Arsenal, signing a four-year contract with an option for a further 12 months.
- The 28-year-old becomes the Gunners' fifth major signing of the summer transfer window, and Konsa has arrived just hours before Arsenal play their opening game of the season against Coventry on Friday night.
- Konsa was signed for his versatility at right-back and centre-back, as well as to provide cover for injured defenders Jurrien Timber and William Saliba.
- The defender could make his Arsenal debut against his former club at Villa Park on 31 August.
