- Arthur Fery has been knocked out of the Lyon Open after suffering a surprise defeat on Tuesday.
- Fery, 24, was the eighth seed at the tournament and was expected to get past Croatia’s Borna Gojo in their Round of 32 clash.
- However, it was Gojo who took the opening set 6-3 to close in on a shock victory.
- The second set was a tighter affair, but it was Gojo who held his nerve in the tie-break to take it 7-2 as he wrapped up a 6-3, 7-6 win.
- It is a setback for Fery who has struggled to find consistent form since reaching the semi-finals of Wimbledon earlier this year.
