KUNAK: Five people were injured after a Perodua Aruz vehicle they were traveling in skidded off a road and fell into a drain at a bend along Jalan Kunak Tiga, Sunday.

Kunak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) chief, Mohamad Omarbatha, said they received an emergency call via Mers999 at 2.47pm.

He said a team of firefighters, led by PBKII Rosman Gari with a fire engine and Emergency Medical Response Services (EMRS) vehicle, rushed to the scene.

“Five victims comprising three women and two men aged between 58 and 66 sustained injuries and were removed by the public and the police from the vehicle before the fire brigade arrived,” he said in a statement, here, Sunday.
