Several major roads and highways in Kuala Lumpur will be closed in stages from Oct 26 to 28 for the 47th ASEAN Summit.

The Kuala Lumpur Command and Control Centre (KLC3) said the closures will take place periodically, each lasting about 30 to 45 minutes, to allow official convoys to move smoothly throughout the summit.

Among the main roads affected around the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) area are Jalan Ampang, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan P. Ramlee, Jalan Pinang, Jalan Binjai, Persiaran KLCC, Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Parlimen, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Jalan Imbi, Jalan Damansara, Jalan Istana, Jalan Kuching and Jalan Perak.

KLC3 said the “Golden Triangle” area around KLCC will experience the most significant disruptions. The public is advised to avoid these areas and use public transport such as the MRT, LRT, Monorail or buses during the summit period.

Heavy vehicles will not be allowed into the city centre during peak hours of the event.

KLC3 also reminded road users to cooperate and stay updated as information on road closures will be announced periodically via the ASEAN 2025 portal at www.myasean2025.my or follow the ASEANmy Facebook page.
