Manchester United are preparing a raid on Chelsea on recommendation of Dan Ashworth.

The Newcastle technical director is set to join United and wants to add Chelsea's chief analyst Kyle Macaulay to his staff at Old Trafford.

Macauley left Brighton for Chelsea with former manager Graham Potter and remained after the latter's sacking.

The Sun says Ashworth now wants the Scot to join him at United.

Macauley's addition will be one of several new arrivals as Ashworth seeks to build a new-look recruitment team.
