"Remembering the days" which in essence is to recall the glory days during our time as graduate students of AIM Manila in the Philippines. This is also to appreciate the history of AIM right from the beginning of our inception as the top graduate business school in 1968. The alumni networks appreciates the struggles and celebrate gratification of our alumnus, especially among the more senior graduates of our strong brotherhood. Their excellence should be remembered and applauded as, in one way or another, their achievements over the years have made our alma mater a respected institution in the world. (www.aimalumni.org)

I had the opportunity to meet a Malaysian government retiree, alumnus Rosley Abdullah, MBM 1980 in conjunction with the visit of his classmate, Prof Naqi Azam, Senior Advisor to Vice Chancellor of DHA Suffa University, Pakistan. In our engaging conversations, they recalled, “AIM alumni are significant for their transformative leadership across Asia's corporate and public sectors, driving economic growth and innovation. Our 50,000 strong network spans top executive roles, entrepreneurship, and governance, and leadership sustainability while reinforcing AIM's reputation for practitioner-based excellence.”

Being AIM Lifetime Member and Triple A Awardee, I totally agree with them that many alumni are entrepreneurs, founding startups and SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) that foster job creation, and drive economic growth in the region. In fact, beyond the private sector, alumni like Rosley (a former Director of Rubber Research Institute) occupied key roles in government agencies, shaping policies focused on social welfare & sustainable development.

Evidently, alumnus Rosley and Prof Naqi hold influential positions, using their strategic vision to to guide companies towards success. They are recognized for their expertise in navigating complex, dynamic business environments, including plantations, finance, and technology. As a 2024 survey indicates, AIM alumni leaders are recognized for providing impactful skills and effective leadership in the market. They drive growth in business consulting and banking.
