Assaulting ‘home wrecker’: Five women remanded

TAWAU: Five women, including a mother-daughter duo, were remanded for allegedly assaulting and beating a single mother believed to be having an affair with one of the suspects’ husbands in a hotel car park on Monday.

All were detained after the victim, 36, a single mother with one child, filed a police report at 4.41pm on Wednesday.

AdvertisementDistrict Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the attack occurred around 11am when the victim found all four tyres of her Proton X50 punctured before being ambushed and assaulted by the suspects, causing several injuries and bleeding on her face, back and left side of her head.

Jasmin said the fight was broken up by the victim’s brother, who arrived at the scene.

Read more The victim also claimed that her gold bracelet and a pair of earrings worth RM4,000 went missing, believed to be taken by one of the suspects.

“Investigations revealed that the victim knew a man from her village before starting a romantic relationship with him about a month ago.

Magistrate Dayang Aidaku Amira Aminuddin granted a one-day remand order for all the suspects for further investigation under Sections 148 and 427 of the Penal Code.
