Aston Villa have announced Boubacar Kamara won't be seen until next year.
It will mean the France international is out of next month's World Cup in Qatar.
Villa announced: "Midfielder Boubacar Kamara, who injured his knee ligament in the victory against Southampton, will not be available until the end of the next World Cup, together with central defender Diego Carlos".
Brazil defender Carlos is out for the season with an achilles injury, having joined in the summer from Sevilla.
