Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard is pleased with what's seen from Philippe Coutinho in preseason.
Gerrard believes Coutinho will benefit from a full preseason this campaign.
He said, “You will see Coutinho tomorrow (against Leeds) and I'd expect to see what you're used to seeing, which is a real quality high-level performer.
“Phil joined us on the back of not playing much football. He ignited the place initially and he had a period where he was getting used to the speed and intensity of the Premier League again, which was normal and we expected that.
“Having the luxury of a full pre-season with Phil, having that five weeks as his base, I'm sure he's going to have a fantastic season and I can't wait to see him play again."
