Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard has confirmed he will keep Cameron Archer this season.
The England U21 striker was linked with a loan move to Rangers, West Bromwich Albion, Watford and Sunderland.
However, Gerrard wants to keep the 20-year-old in his first-team squad.
Speaking in a Premier League interview, Gerrard said: "We've made a decision with Cameron Archer that he'll be staying in the door.
"He will be part of the first team group & needs to be ready when called upon to contribute to the team.."
