
After initially putting it up for pre-order, ASUS Malaysia has now confirmed the launch of the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra (B9406CAA). This premium flagship laptop is perhaps their most high end ultraportable device yet, designed for C-suite executives and the like.

The ASUS ExpertBook Ultra is now available for purchase from the ASUS Malaysia eStore as well as selected ASUS Business authorised dealers nationwide. Here’s how much they cost:

ASUS ExpertBook Ultra specs

The first thing you’ll notice about the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra is that it’s a super thin and light laptop, measuring just 10.9mm thin and weighing in from as low as 990g. Built out of a magnesium aluminium alloy, the chassis also has a layer of nano ceramic technology over it, giving it 9H hardness and up to 5 times the industry standard in terms of wear resistance. That’s on top of its MIL-STD 810H military grade durability too.

Under the hood, the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra in Malaysia comes with an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 Processor on the base model with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB SSD. The higher specced model meanwhile gets an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor, Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics, with up to 64GB of memory and up to 2TB of PCIe 5.0 SSD storage. You’ll also get up to Windows 11 Pro out of the box.

As for its display, the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra features a 14-inch OLED panel on the base model pushing a WQXGA+ resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio, capable of up to 1000nits of peak HDR brightness and full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Moving up to the Core Ultra X7 model however gets you a Tandem OLED panel, which can do up to 1400nits of peak HDR brightness. Both models will still come with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and Gorilla Matte over it, as well as an up to 120Hz refresh rate.

In terms of I/O, the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra comes with two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a HDMI 2.1 output and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. You’ll also find support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity, while a 70Wh battery keeps the lights on.

Other features of note an ExpertLumi light bar beneath the display, a backlit chiclet keyboard with 1.5mm key-travel, a haptic touchpad, a six-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos and hardware-level protection for enterprise-grade security. You can get the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra in your choice of Jet Fog or Morn Grey colourways.
