At least eight people have been killed in a collision between a train and a public bus in Thailand's capital Bangkok, local media reported on Saturday.
Several people were also injured in the incident during the afternoon, authorities said.
The train struck the bus as it was crossing railway tracks near the Makkasan Airport Rail Link station in the city's Huai Khwang district, eyewitnesses said.
The bus was dragged along and crashed into several nearby cars and motorbikes, causing them to catch fire. Photos showed thick plumes of smoke and several burnt-out vehicles.
Further details were not immediately available. The authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
