Athletic Bilbao president Jon Uriarte has left the door open to a return for Ander Herrera.
It's been suggested Herrera has agreed personal terms with his former club and is now negotiating a contract payoff with PSG.
Uriarte was asked about the situation and told ETB: "If there is a player who we think can increase the sporting level of the squad and who meets our economic requirements, we are open to do this type of operation."
Uriarte went to say, however, that he was reluctant to comment on Herrera directly while he was a PSG player.
The 33 year-old veteran has hopes of securing move in the coming days.
