Atletico Madrid captain Koke says he's calm about his contract situation.
Koke is on the brink of making his 600th appearance for the club.
Asked about a new contract, Koke told Marca: "You already know my idea and philosophy of life. I've been here since I was six years old and I want to continue. I know the situation of the club and what has happened, whenever there has been a need to help I have been the first and we will see what happens.
"My desire is to continue, I have always said it, but it no longer depends on me either.
"I don't want to be a burden on the club tomorrow either, what I want is to be important, continue playing and enjoying what I'm doing and continue with the streak of games I've been in, where I'm at a good level."
