AAP leader Baltej Pannu directed an attack on the BJP over new language regulation policy in Punjab’s army schools. Reacting to the news reports of Sanskrit being made compulsory and Punjabi an optional subject in Army schools in Punjab, Pannu described this decision as a direct attack on Punjab’s identity and mother tongue.

Reacting sharply to this decision, Pannu has termed it completely ‘anti-Punjab.’

In a video statement released today, the AAP leader said that the BJP’s decisions have always been anti-Punjab. He went on to say that the BJP’s anti-Punjab decisions have always been a topic of discussion. On behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party, he strongly condemned this new decree.

“Punjabis will not tolerate insult to their mother tongue. We condemn this decision in the strongest terms," he added.
