
He said the government he led needed support to face various actions including avoiding excessive price hikes that would affect the people.
"The government will continue to try to avoid excessive prices to ensure that the people are not pressured and so far more than RM70 billion has been spent to ensure that the price of certain goods can be subsidised so that there is no sudden increase that can have an impact on the people.
"I hope we, among us, give support to the government in conducting the action.
“Attacking the government means we attack the BN-led government because I am in the government representing Umno and BN.
"I am the BN Prime Minister, not the Prime Minister of another party, attacking me means weakening the BN leadership.
“So I ask for support from you," he said when addressing a dinner in conjunction with the Sabah BN Convention at Umno building here, on Friday night.
