Kota Kinabalu: Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar made history as the first Malaysian Attorney General to reach the summit of Mount Kinabalu.
He accomplished the feat during the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) Kinabalu Expedition 2026 from Aug 14 to 16, involving 25 participants from the AGC.
Mohd Dusuki and the other participants left Laban Rata at about 3am on Aug 15 before reaching the summit, where he raised the Jalur Gemilang ahead of the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.
He said the climb was not merely a physical challenge but also symbolised patriotism, teamwork and unity, while testing the participants’ physical and mental endurance.
The expedition, organised by the AGC in collaboration with its Sabah branch, carried the Jalur Gemilang from Putrajaya to Malaysia’s highest peak as a symbol of love for the country.
