Auckland House School, Shimla, organised a grand alumnae meet here today as former students returned to their alma mater to relive memories and celebrate the institution’s glorious journey spanning over 160 years. The programme began with a special prayer service, followed by the launch of a commemorative coffee table book and the release of a special postal cover marking the school’s rich educational and cultural legacy. A special podcast showcasing memories, stories and milestones from the school’s remarkable journey was also telecast during the event.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the re- inauguration of the Old Hall, a place closely associated with generations of Aucklandians and the institution’s heritage. An alumnae plantation drive themed “Planting Memories and Growing the Future” was also organised on the campus planting 160 saplings.

Bishop of the Diocese of Amritsar Rt Rev Manoj Charan presided over the function and appreciated the institution for preserving its values, traditions and commitment towards holistic education over generations.

Former MP Pratibha Singh was present on the occasion, and she interacted with students and alumnae. Principal Smaraki Smantaroy said the event was not merely a reunion but a celebration of shared memories, values and the enduring bond between the school and its alumnae.
