Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla held a meeting with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge at Indira Bhawan, headquarters of the All-India Congress Committee (AICC), in New Delhi.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the current political situation in Punjab and the country, along with several important issues concerning the people, Aujla said.

He said the meeting also focused on strengthening the Congress at the grassroots level, effectively raising public concerns and further empowering the party organisation. He also apprised the Congress president of various issues related to Punjab and the expectations of the people.

On the occasion, Aujla stated that the country is currently facing several serious challenges. At such a time, raising the voice of the people, safeguarding the Constitution and democracy and steering the nation towards progress, unity and communal harmony is a collective responsibility, he said.

Aujla further said that under the leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge, the Congress has been consistently fighting for the rights of people from all sections of society and would continue to do so with the same commitment in the future.
