Its minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa, in a Facebook post today, said that the funding was channelled through the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Malaysia, the World Health Organisation (WHO) Malaysia and the Malaysian Red Crescent Society.

"MOH welcomes cooperation, especially in the field of health research,” she said.

Earlier today, she received a courtesy call from Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, Dr Justin Lee, at the Parliament building, during a recess of the sitting.

She said during the meeting they discussed issues and directions related to the health sector, as well as close cooperation between Australia and Malaysia in the field of health.

"This meeting is part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation, which will be mutually beneficial,” she said. - BERNAMA
