KUALA LUMPUR, March 14 — It is the end of the road for Malaysian squash players when the last two representatives — S. Sivasangari and Aifa Azman — crashed out in the women’s quarter-finals of the Australian Open 2025 in Brisbane today.

Top national woman player Sivasangari fought for 65 minutes before going down 9-11, 6-11, 11-7, 11-6, 5-11 to fourth-seeded Rowan Elaraby of Egypt at the South Bank Piazza.

Meanwhile, Aifa fell to a 0-11, 4-11, 5-11 hammering at the hands of second seed Tinne Gilis of Belgium in just 23 minutes.
