NHS Hospital, Jalandhar organised a special awareness programme on the occasion of World MS Day.

To spread awareness about Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and provide accurate information to the public, NHS Hospital, Jalandhar organised a special awareness programme on the occasion of World MS Day in the hospital auditorium on May 30 at 3 pm. The event featured an interactive panel discussion led by renowned neurologists Dr Sandeep Goel and Dr Partha Ranjan Saha.

The programme was planned after receiving numerous questions and queries related to Multiple Sclerosis from people through various online platforms over the past several days. Keeping public interest and awareness in mind, both specialists discussed the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options and lifestyle management related to MS in a simple and informative manner.

During the event, neurologists also officially launched the dedicated MS Clinic at NHS Hospital. It was announced that the clinic will function on every second and fourth Tuesday from 3 pm to 5 pm, where patients suffering from neurological disorders related to Multiple Sclerosis can receive specialised consultation and guidance.

The event was conducted live on Instagram to reach a larger audience and spread awareness among the general public.

As part of the awareness initiative, informative brochures about Multiple Sclerosis were also distributed among patients and visitors already present in the hospital premises. The programme concluded with refreshments served to all staff members and participants.
