Azalina no longer PM’s Special Advisor?

SHAH ALAM - Pengerang Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said may no longer be the special advisor to the Prime Minister on law and human rights.

A source claimed that Azalina had resigned from the position today.

However, when Sinar Daily contacted Azalina’s office, they said she still held the post.

“As of now, she (Azalina) is still the Special Advisor to YAB PM,” a spokesman said in a text message.

Prior to this, rumours were arift on social media platforms that Azalina had resigned from her position.

Azalina was appointed to the position on Oct 2, 2021.

The letter of appointment was submitted by Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

She was appointed to the position after resigning as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives on Aug 23, 2021 for several reasons.
