KUALA TERENGGANU – Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) today denied reports that TFC’s central defender Azam Azmi Murad will be leaving the team to seek greener pastures next season.
TFCSB’s chief executive officer Ab Rasid Jusoh said Azam, who is also in the national squad, had pledged to remain with TFC next season and feature in the team playing in the Malaysian League and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup next season.
Azam had signed a long-term contract with TFC to develop his career.
“Therefore, there is no need for Azam to look for another team, although it is true that he has received several offers from clubs playing in the Super League,” he said in a statement today.
Rasid said Azam was currently busy with his national team training schedule under national head coach Kim Pan Gon to face the AFF Cup competition that kicks off later this month. – Bernama, December 8, 2022
