Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone shouldered the blame for last night's Champions League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.
Simeone took issue with many criticising Diego Costa for his performance.
He said, "It does not seem fair to point only to a player when the start of the game was not good from the coach, there were eleven on the field.
"Obviously, in football there are always mistakes and successes and we must accept that these situations happen. The set-pieces cost us.
"We started thinking about giving continuity to those who did a good second-half in Seville and today those who were in the second half finished very well. The first responsible is me, it is clear that there is something that I will have to improve."
