Limited MyKad tickets remain for the 2026 Bahrain GP at Sepang from Oct 2-4, with special Malaysian rates ranging from RM200 to RM2,083.40.
A LIMITED number of specially priced MyKad tickets remain available for Malaysian citizens for the Formula 1 (F1) Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix (GP) in Malaysia 2026 at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) from Oct 2-4.
SIC in a statement today said overwhelming response to the highly anticipated race had resulted in exceptionally high traffic to the official ticketing website, bahraingp.com with tickets selling fast.
“We know many of you are excited to get your tickets, and we really appreciate your patience and understanding as the ticketing process continues,” it said.
It said further updates on ticket availability would be communicated through the official Bahrain International Circuit and SIC social media channels.
SIC also acknowledged the excitement among fans and thanked them for their patience and understanding as the ticketing process continues.
“We look forward to seeing you at Sepang for an incredible F1 weekend!,” it said.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced MADANI Tickets exclusively for MyKad holders, priced from as low as RM200, enabling Malaysians to watch the Bahrain GP race live at the SIC.
According to information published on the Bahrain GP official website recently, MyKad holders are entitled to special rates across six seating categories, ranging from RM200 to RM2,083.40.
The most affordable option is the G Hillstand at RM200, while tickets for the B Hillstand and C Hillstand are priced at RM809.60 each.
For grandstand seating, tickets are priced at RM1,291.40 for the F Grandstand, RM1,386 (K1 Grandstand) and RM2,083.40 (Main Grandstand).
In the meantime, international rates are significantly higher, with the three-day ticket listed on the website at USD565.40 for the Main Grandstand, USD376.20 (K1 Grandstand) and USD350.90 (F Grandstand), while tickets for the B Hillstand and C Hillstand are priced at USD220 each.
The Main Grandstand, K1 Grandstand and F Grandstand offer seated and rooftop viewing, while the B, C and G Hillstands are grass and open-air areas.
Formula 1 and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) previously announced that the 2026 Bahrain GP would be held at SIC from Oct 2 to 4 as part of a collaboration between Malaysia and Bahrain.
The 2026 Bahrain GP was originally scheduled to be held at the Bahrain International Circuit in April but was postponed to October following geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
SIC hosted the Malaysian GP from 1999 to 2017 before the race was dropped from the F1 calendar due to rising hosting costs and licensing fees.
