The much-loved Balloons at the Palace experience has returned to Jumeirah Al Qasr for its second season, reimagined under the enchanting theme Tales of the Arabian Skies. Marking its one-year anniversary, the event invites guests to embark on an extraordinary culinary and cultural journey inspired by the ancient Arabian travellers who once journeyed along the storied Spice Route.
Launching on 17 October, four elegant, hot air balloon-inspired dining spaces will host between two and six guests each, creating an intimate setting that blends the charm of traditional Arabian hospitality with world-class gastronomy.
Float Above The Clouds
Each balloon, designed as a ‘floating majlis’, offers an exquisite sanctuary for storytelling and shared moments, overlooking the shimmering Gulf, the iconic Burj Al Arab, and the dazzling Dubai skyline. This season introduces a new experience — Breakfast in the Clouds — served every Friday and Saturday.
Guests can savour light, flavourful dishes such as Cheese & Zaatar Manakish and Shakshuka while basking in the morning glow above the palace grounds.
The acclaimed Afternoon Tea in the Sky also returns, served daily in two sittings. Aptly titled A Tale of Two Traditions, this menu delicately intertwines the refinement of British tea culture — with Smoked Salmon sandwiches and scones — and the richness of Arabian flavours, featuring creations such as Vanilla Mousse with Pistachio & Kunafa.
As twilight descends, The Spice Route Journey dinner experience begins with two evening seatings. This six-course odyssey includes culinary highlights such as Yellow Fin Tuna with Harissa Emulsion, Roasted Prawns, and a choice of mains including Beef Tenderloin with Date Molasses Jus or Mediterranean Sea Bass with Saffron Emulsion.middle eastmiddle eas
With only four balloons available, each seating promises a rare, unforgettable escape, a moment of stillness and splendour suspended between earth and sky.
