Late-night tummy rumbles? Yeah, we’ve all been there. And if you need to satiate those hunger pangs, dare we suggest some of the best shawarma spots in Bangkok? Read on.

A popular street food throughout the Arab world and the Greater Middle East, shawarma’s history goes back to the Ottoman Empire. It’s made with thin slices of meat cut from a rotating piece of meat roasted on a stick, then wrapped with a type of bread and assorted with vegetables and condiments.

Of course, as per many street foods, some of the best kebabs can be found just by walking down the soi and stumbling onto a stall, but let this be a guide to where to start out on your shawarma adventure. Here are some of the best shawarmas to try in Bangkok.

Hummus is a must-order, hence the name, but their shawarmas are not to be overlooked at any cost. One of their signature wraps is made with grilled shawarma chicken, onions, and hummus. Have the shawarma wrapped with vegetables, with rice, or on top of a pizza. It’s certainly a combo we never thought we’d be enjoying; their pepperoni comes straight from Turkey, too.
