Barcelona chief Deco has defended Frenkie de Jong after his outburst on Tuesday.
De Jong accused the press of lying about his salary and status at Barca.
Xavi said: "Things are said that are not true and in the end the player is human. He was upset, but what is important is that he is happy at the club. He is a great player. For us it is important that he is happy."
Deco also spoke about Xavi and his resignation.
Before last night's 1-1 draw at Champions League opponents Napoli, he said: "He has said what is going to happen. Talking about Xavi is talking about the same thing. He is our coach until the end of the season. We have a lot to do and we are not going to be talking about him every day.
"The important thing is today's game, win and pass the eliminations."
