Barcelona chief Mateu Alemany has turned down an offer from Aston Villa.
Marca says Villa want Alemany to take charge of their football department and made an approach last week.
Villa want to pair Alemany with manager Unai Emery.
However, he has rejected the enquiry, insisting he remains committed to Barca.
Alemany has a contract with Barca to 2024.
