Barcelona coach Xavi says he doesn't blame Spain boss Luis de la Fuente for Gavi's ACL injury.
Gavi was injured against Georgia in what was effectively a dead rubber with Spain having already qualified for Euro2024.
Xavi said: "I have a good relationship with De la Fuente. I see a calendar problem, that Gavi with his age has played a lot. It is not a coach management problem. It was a misfortune. At the moment there is no news about a substitute."
Ahead of facing Rayo Vallecano, Xavi also confirmed goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen was injured.
"He will not be there. Iaki will play. He is prepared and I am absolutely confident in him. He trains very well."
