Barcelona coach Xavi says a return to the club for Lionel Messi will be up to the PSG star.
Messi is off contract next month and has held talks with Barca president Joan Laporta about a summer return to the Blaugrana.
Asked about the prospect of Messi re-signing, Xavi said today: "What would I say to the Bara fans? Well, it's up in the air, it depends on many things.
"I can't say much more, he's a spectacular footballer, I'm friends with him and we'll see if it can happen or not.
"It will depend on a lot of his intentions..."
Xavi was speaking ahead of tomorrow's clash with Real Valladolid.
