Barcelona coach Xavi admits they were poor for defeat at Real Madrid.

Barca lost 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“We had the chance to be leaders but we leave empty," said Xavi. “We had a clear chance from Lewandowski to equalise. We did not take advantage of our moments, and Madrid, did.

“We are on a negative dynamic and nothing is going for us. We have to come out of it quickly. We have to change it because it's weighing on us.

“We lacked aggression, we have to make fouls, be more mature in the play. They took advantage of their moment, they are a made team. In the first goal we have to commit a foul, stop their counter attacks and they caught us out."

The coach continued: "They beat us on maturity, in knowing how to compete. We competed worse than our opponents, that's why we lost the game. They are a team that's more mature than ours at this moment."
