Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde was thrilled with the manner of their El Clasico win against Barcelona.
Valverde was outstanding for the 3-1 win in Madrid.
He said, "The important thing is the victory of the team. The effort and sacrifice we have made. We worked as a team and we knew how to defend in difficult moments. You also need luck and in attack we came out very quickly, they gave us a lot of space up front and we've taken advantage of it.
"I always said that I like the midfield but the coach places me on the wing. I try to give my best in each position. I know that up top I can contribute more with goals and assists. In the midfield I offer work and energy.
"I am very happy for the goal.
"We created a lot of chances that way, we had a lot of possession when I got inside. We worked hard on it."
