Barcelona coach Xavi is reluctant to lose Eric Garcia.
The defender has informed Xavi he wants to leave on-loan this week, with Girona in contact.
But Xavi has stated he expects Garcia to remain for the season.
Barca management, for their part, would be willing to sell Garcia for 15m, though Girona prefer the loan option.
Further talks will be held on Thursday amongst all parties.
